Located in Levent district; Kanyon, Metrocity and Akmerkez are the city’s prominent shopping malls with their exquisite cafés, design products and classy architectures. İstinye Park in Maslak district offers an outstanding open air shopping experience. Cevahir İstanbul and Astoria in Mecidiyeköy district are two grandiose shopping centers providing a large multiplicity of cafés, restaurants and shops. For example, Cevahir İstanbul is the world’s one of the biggest shopping centers with a total capacity of 2500 cinemas, a theatre and an IMEX. Carousel and Capacity in Bakırköy district are close to the Atatürk Airport and deserve being called center for their strategical location. Capitol in Altunizade district, Palladium and Brandium in Ataşehir district and Nautilus in Kadıköy district are the fairly bigger malls over the Anatolian side of İstanbul. Main shopping districts
İstanbul is a very large city covered with numerous shopping opportunities. As in every metropol İstanbul too has its main shopping districts apart of malls. Taksim area is a very well known shopping area with loads of bigbrands located on and around the Istiklal Street. Şişhane, Galata and Cihangir areas near Taksim are also full of designer shops, bookshops, cafés and restaurants. Nişantaşı area on the European side of the city is also a main shopping district. With many famous fashion brands and local designer clothing shops Nişantaşı is one of the hip places and fashion center of İstanbul. Bagdat Street on the Anatolian side is also a crowded place for shopping lovers. As one of the longest avenues in İstanbul the Bagdat Street is full of world-known shops, cafés and restaurants.
